TASK FOR TODAY 1. Creating the height map and texture for the height map My task is to model the environment in cryENGINE. to start the job we are firstly working on the texture to be set up using CRAZYBUMP software. Me and Roschelle Gonzales help each other for texture for the entire project. During Semester break as on its sem break we decided to work on our group assignment towards the process of the enviroment. During this stage its such a frustration to still continue on working on the height map for cryengine terrain we tried so many ways to re edit the exact map height and shape of the terrain but we seems to be not getting the correct way to do it. I asked Shaun for help towards the height map. we have both sat down in one computer to re edit the height map for the 2nd time. Because the first one seem to be so large and the other part of the area is not really nessesary to be part of it. We centered the aerial ropeway when we crop the image from google earth maps.
Due to the first height map we made a new height map that will only focus on the surroundings that the aerial ropeway will be placed in the middle. The red marker is our guide to show where we are going to placed the tower
2. Layer Painting the the whole entire terrain
I used this texture to apply within the whole terrain to give that cliff effect
For the grassy effect within the vegetation area of the terrain
The ground to blend in the texture using all of this in photoshoped.
I used photoshoped to create this kind of texture effect to give the terrain abit of a realistic terrain texture from far.
![]() Task I have been assigned for this week is layer painting.
3. Planning the Group Presentation for the "CONFLICT" topic
Our group ideas of how to deal with conflict. During mid sem break we organised a group meet up to work on the Group presentation about the topic we have chosen "CONFLICT".

1. Watching tutorial on how to create a terrain using GeoControl to start the level for our group
How to make life like terrains in Cryengine 3

Creating a heightmap in Geocontrol
2. Use Google earth to collect the map data from google
MODELLING PROCESS_ TESTING MAP DATA_ AND GEOCONTROL
Using chronolapse to video my workload to wars setting up the topography for the land environment that we are developing in CryENGINE aerial ropeway. This video is on of my steps that i used to test what which software is better to produce a realistic topography that matches the height map of the actual location of the project.

Important Group Communication key points:
- Due to new generation tools for communication to people now these days can be many options.
- They can either creates facebook page to communicate and collaborate with one another
- Email now these days is not very common but some people still use it
- Mobile phones call or texting.
- Group clear communication is always the key to succesful teamwork
2. Work towards Individual Major Milestone
3. Shaun (Leader) Assigned Weekly task for each Team member (ELAH) Terrain Height map, Terrain Texture and Layer Painting.

TASK FOR TODAY
1. Used dingogap website to check the topography of the project we are working on by using the satellite map and map option.
While our group is waiting to attend the site visit to meet the client and talk about what the main project that we are working on for the this semester. Our group have found a useful link that has been my guide to get the terrain height map started. There's two option (Satellite and Map view) that i can view the photo navigate through the whole entire map location.
| The Red line marker is where the Aerial Ropeway located in the map.

| Useful book that Russell Lowe shown us in class that i also use to study before i started with the terrain. It showing the map data and information about the aerial ropeway. |
2. Checking map data if there is available to download in Google earth but sadly its not recorded
3. Started watching tutorials to get the terrain started in cryengine
Realistic sattelite terrain in CryEngine 3 - SRTM data (Pt1)
Published on Aug 12, 2012
This video explain how to get height maps from SRTM survey using Google Earth. After getting maps how to set up them right to recognize for CryEngine 3
4. Group Set up a wiki account and dropbox share folder for the aerial ropeway level that the group has to work on.
